Flip-flop is an electronic circuit that stores a logical state of one or more data input signals in response to clock pulse. Flip-flop are often used in computational circuits to operate in selected sequences during recurring clock intervals to receive and maintain data for a limited time period sufficient for other circuits within a system to further process data. Flip-Flops are critical timing elements in digital circuits and have a large impact on circuit speed and power consumption. Consequently, extensive research has been performed to develop fast and low-power flip-flops. Recently, pulsed latch structures have emerged as the fastest known flip-flop structures. Flip-flops are a fundamental building block of digital electronics systems used in computers, communications, and many other types of systems. A new flip-flop design using a double-pulsed static latch is designed for 250-nanometer technology. This flip-flop consumes less power and fewer transistors in the clock generator as compared with the DPSCRFF (Double Pulsed Set Conditional Reset), which is one of the fastest known flip-flops in literature.

Availability of large number of disease free genuine planting material is a major constraint in expanding area under pomegranate cultivation for which tissue culture can be explored as an alternative tool to fulfil the demand for elite planting material. In the first part of the study an efficient in vitro propagation protocol for pomegranate cv. G-137 (a superior clone of "Ganesh") has been developed. Improper hardening of in vitro raised plantlets leads to high field mortality and poor growth of plantlets which act as a hurdle in popularization of in vitro propagation in pomegranate. So, in the second part of the study four different arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) strains namely, Glomus mosseae, Acaulospora laevis, Glomus manihotis and a mixed AMF strain were used as biohardening agents to improve survival and growth of in vitro raised pomegranate plantlets. The above said AMF strains were also used in this study to enhance the performance of pomegranate hardwood cuttings in terms of high success rate and subsequently improved growth, physiological and biochemical attributes of cutting derived plants.

Indian bus industry, since independence, has been organized along a mixed pattern of public and private sector ownership. The industry is dominated by publicly owned State Transport Undertakings (STUs) since private sector is highly fragmented. Despite their vital role, STUs in India have not been able to keep pace with the very rapid and substantial increases in demand of the past few years. Their service quality in particular has deteriorated, and their market share has been further reduced as passengers have turned to personalized transport and intermediate public transport. Apart from public criticism of inadequate and irregular services provided under unhealthy conditions of overcrowding and with minimal passenger comforts and amenities, STUs' financial performance has also been extremely poor and deteriorating over the years. In the present scenario, tackling the problem of financial crisis appears to be the biggest challenge for STUs. This book tries to address this issue by analyzing, both theoretically and empirically, the productivity, cost structure, and pricing issues in STUs.

West Asia in Transition-Volume II is the result of a project launched by the Delhi Policy Group (DPG) in 2016 to study the rapidly changing socio-political and economic structures as well as emerging trends in West Asia.
